Weekly Spotlight: Using Sliced, Shredded and Spirialized Veggies to Create Creative Recipes!

There are so many different ways to eat vegetables and plant food, and one way is to make it fun. Changing up the textures of your food can give you the feeling of eating a variety of foods. Also, changing up the way we eat vegetables allows us to explore the many ways that we can enjoy them. For instance, potatoes are a wonderfully versatile food and making that one potato in a variety of ways can get us excited about the meals we eat. Using different shreds, spirals, and slices, we can explore a whole different way of preparing delicious plant-based meals.

Using a box grater, a mandolin, a kitchen zester, or even a food processor with these attachments, you can create delicious and healthy plant-based meals! Not only this, but you can use these for so many other foods! You can use it to grate cold butter into biscuits, grate toasted bread into breadcrumbs or garlic into a dip, and even use a zester to get a finer shred of chocolate to top onto smoothies or bowls. All of these wonderful textures transform the final dish and take your meal to the next level.
